2009 Nevada County Fair!
”A Hare’s Magical A-Fair!” is the Nevada County Fair’s theme this year and five spectacular days of fun are planned for fairgoers of all ages. Free entertainment will be available all day, every day, at five different stages throughout the Fairgrounds. Fair activities include carnival rides and games, barns full of livestock, singers, thrill acts, karaoke, a special events tent with interactive games, magic shows, daily competitions, food contests, and thousands of exhibits. As always, Treat Street will be serving an array of fabulous food.
Long-time crowd pleasing motor sports events will soar into the Fair’s arena Wednesday through Sunday, presenting thrills ranging from a rodeo to Monster Trucks to the final night’s Demolition Derby. See General Information for specifics.
The Ag Mechanics Auction will be held on Friday of the Fair, and the Junior Livestock Auction will be held on Sunday, August 16. These popular annual events will raise more than $400,000 for Nevada County youth in agriculture.
Voted as the best Nevada County event for nine consecutive years, the Nevada County Fair is one magical event that you don’t want to miss!
