I am a full time real estate agent who believes that “good service” to his clients is what sets one agent apart from another. I accomplish this by staying in touch with the client each step of the way. I have been a Nevada County resident for 36 years and graduated from Nevada Union High School in 1976.I received my real estate license in 1982 and immediately went to work for Rolling Hills Realty in Penn Valley, California until May of 2009. The company was an unfortunate victim of the down economy and had to close its doors. While at Rolling Hills Realty I was the top producing agent 13 out of the past 14 years prior to the companies closing. No other agent in the companies 36 year history had ever been the top producing agent for that many years in a row.
Carolyn (my wife of 27 years) received her real estate license in 1993 and worked for two different local title companies for 31/2 years. She decided to become my assistant several years ago so that she can help me better serve my clients.
We are now agents for Network Real Estate in Grass Valley, California. They have been in business for over 27 years here in Nevada County, have over 50 agents between four offices and are consistently one of the top two local companies for overall sales here in western Nevada County.
The Nevada County Board of Realtors started a “Masters Club” in 1999. This was created to recognize the top 5% of all agents in Nevada County. To qualify each year, agents had to achieve a predetermined sales volume for that year. I have been a charter member of the “Masters Club” since it’s inception except for one year and have maintained membership. I am a member of the Nevada County Association of Realtors and served as a past director of the board and a member of the Sutter- Yuba Association of Realtors.
To better help serve all of my clients needs, I am in the process of obtaining a “CCIM” designation.
A Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) is a recognized expert in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate. A CCIM is an invaluable resource to the commercial real estate owner, investor, and user, and is among the elite corps of 9,000 professionals who hold the CCIM designation across North America and more than 30 countries.
The CCIM curriculum consists of four core courses that incorporate the essential CCIM skill sets; financial analysis, market analysis, user decision analysis, and investment analysis for
commercial investment real estate.
Only 6 percent of the estimated 150,000 commercial real estate practitioners nationwide hold the CCIM designation, which reflects not only the caliber of the program, but also why it is one of the most coveted and respected designations in the industry.
This designation will allow me to better serve my clients with the purchase or sale of any type of commercial or multi family type property. Many of the 1031 tax deferred exchanges involve commercial or multi family properties and I want to be able to help my clients analyze and make an informed decision on whether to buy or sell that property.
